Dear Calgary Centre-North Liberal Members,

The amended Constitution of the Calgary Centre-North Federal Liberal Association incorporates recent changes already adopted by the respective memberships in the Constitution of the Liberal Party of Canada and the Constitution of the Liberal Party of Canada in Alberta.

The changes you will notice include:
- Titles of the Association and certain Officers due to the Canada Elections Act
- the additions of associate members and a Vice-President, Policy as approved by the Liberal Party of Canada
- Schedules A and B are no longer in use by the Liberal Party of Canada and Liberal Party of Canada in Alberta
- the capability to distribute Notice of Meetings via electronic means for members with e-mail addresses only*
as approved by the Liberal Party of Canada in Alberta
(*members without email addresses will continue to receive Notices by mail)

The rest of the Constitution remains unchanged and has been approved by the Board of Directors of the Calgary Centre-North Federal Liberal Association to be presented to the membership for acceptance at our upcoming Annual General Meeting.

MEMBERSHIP QUALIFICATIONS:

In order to vote, you must have a valid 2010 Membership 28 days prior to this meeting. In order to meet this 28-day deadline you can (1) mail your membership form to the LPCA office #50, 10240 – 124th Street, Edmonton, AB, T5N 3W6; (2) fax your membership form to the LPCA Office @ 780-424-1966 which will be accepted ONLY if there is a credit card payment on the form; (3) or renew your membership on-line at www.liberal.ca and bring the transaction receipt with you to the meeting along with ID listed below. Please note if you were a valid member in the immediate past year, you can no longer purchase your renewal membership at the door and then vote at this meeting. You can, however, renew your 2010 membership at the door and attend this meeting but as stated, you will not be eligible to vote at this particular meeting. You will be eligible to vote at all future meetings in 2010 with a valid 2010 membership.

IDENTIFICATION REQUIRED:

1. Photo ID with current address;

2. If no photo ID with address, ID with current address such as telephone/utility/credit card bill.

3. Membership Card and ID with current address such as telephone/utility/credit card bill.
